Are you ever at a loss for words when you approach God in prayer? Do you feel too broken, too impure, too far away to even be understood? Or are there times when you just can’t seem to articulate what’s really inside? Yep, me too! Romans 8:26-27 brings great comfort!
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
Holy Spirit, help us in our weakness. God, let your will be made known. Let our hearts align with yours. Amen.
The Holy Spirit is present, revealing what’s in our heart to God heart. Scripture says the Spirit intercedes for us in accordance with the will of God. DO pray. DO petition for needs. DO cry out to God. But take comfort and find peace in knowing the very deepest cries of your heart can be made known to God, even when you can’t find words.
