Disputable Matters (Romans 14)

What do we do with disputable matters?

  1. Maintaining Unity Is Top Priority
  2. Mutually Accept One Another (Romans 14:1-12)
  3. Practice Mutual Edification (Romans 14:13-23)

Quoting one expositor:

“While Paul urges us to be sensitive to those whose faith may be harmed by our actions, we should not sacrifice our liberty in Christ just to satisfy the selfish motives of those who are trying to force their opinions on us. Strong believers need not judge their own liberty by the troubled conscience of the weak. Each believer is to follow Christ.”

As Christ followers our overriding concern should be peace and edification with other believers.
