15 inches of snow! That is the official total of snowfall on November 25, 2018 in the city I live in. Although it is not officially Winter, a new season has begun.
The thought of that much snow either excites you or makes you cringe. For me it marks the beginning of the season of rest. Most of this year has been focused on house repairs and upgrades. Much of that work was done with Winter preparation in mind. At this point in time two cars can be parked in the garage. The basement has been sealed up from all the drafts. The house in general is much more pleasant to live in.
Clearing the driveway and sidewalks was a lot of effort. There will be plenty of improvement projects when the weather warms back up. But over the next several weeks I get to watch some movies, read some books, have hot cocoa and relax in a comfy home. Hard work has its advantages.
Enjoy the new season!
